Khanh Hoa to focus on tourism marketing

The central province of Khanh Hoa Friday said it would spend more money on tourism marketing next year.

According to the Khanh Hoa Province Tourism Association, the number of foreign visitors to the province has dropped by 20-25 percent since September, with luxury hotels and resorts being the hardest hit by the decline.

As the situation is expected to become worse next year, the association has asked businesses in the tourism industry to lower prices, offer discounts and diversify their products.

The provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism estimates that 316,000 foreign visitors traveled to the province this year, 18,586 of whom came by sea. Nha Trang Town in the province is one of the most famous resort cities in the country.
